As part of the Shooba Khidmat-e Khalq activities within the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya consolidated program, the Eastern Regional Qaid, Hussain Atta Ansong Harun Sahib joined hands with the Koforidua Zonal Aamila to visit members of the Jama’at in Ettukrom in Kibi circuit, who were involved in a lorry accident on their way back from Eid ul Fitr prayers in Kibi on April 11, 2024. The bus carrying 7 Atfal, 10 Khuddam, 6 Nasirat, 11 Lajna, 4 Ansarullah and 11 kids, experienced a tyre burst near Asiakwa on the Kibi - Bunso road, causing it to veer off left and right and eventually turning on its side leading to traffic disruption. With the help of bystanders, drivers, and passengers from other vehicles, the accident victims were rescued and were taken to Kibi and Osiem Government Hospitals and Koforidua Regional Hospital for treatment.
In response, the Koforidua Zonal Qaid, Alpha Nii Dodu Sahib, coordinated efforts to assist. Sacrifices were made by the khuddam of his zone. The Koforidua Zonal Aamila along with the Regional Qaid visited the accident victims on Friday, 18th April, 2024 at Ettukrom, as many had been discharged from the hospital.
Addressing the Ettukrom Jama’at after Jumuah prayers, Regional Qaid, Hussain Atta Ansong Harun Sahib reminded them of the Quranic verse, "To God, we belong and to Him is our return," urging them to find strength in faith during times of adversity. He further urged them not to kowtow to the superstition some people in the community are attributing the accident to. He further emphasized the importance of living with the mindfulness of Allah Almighty and urged caution in vetting vehicles for future journeys.
The Khuddam then made a donation to support the accident victims, which was received by Mr. Issah, the Jama’at President, with gratitude. He expressed thanks to the Majlis for their visit and generous donation, commending their efforts in strengthening the Khuddam in the Koforidua zone and Eastern region.
Let us pray for the speedy recovery of the accident victims and for Allah's blessings on Koforidua zone. Amen.
