Over 200 members of the Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya, Ghana, in the Ekumfi Zone have been encouraged to prioritise the learning of Islamic knowledge.

Maulvi Hafiz Mohammed Arkoh, the Ekumfi Zonal Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Misson, Ghana made this call during the 2nd Annual Zonal Ijtema’a (rally) held in Ekumfi Otuam on June 3, 2024.

Quoting the hadith, “Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim man and woman,” Maulvi Arkoh highlighted the importance of Islamic education. He explained that, it better positions individuals to lead Salat and boosts one’s confidence in the Deen.

Emphasizing the importance of proficiency in religious recitations and knowledge, he praised Master Abid Muhammad Adam, a Tifl from Essarkyir Circuit for his effortless recital of Al-Qaseeda, a poem written by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (AS) in praise of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Maulvi Hafiz Arkoh urged the Khuddam and Atfal to continue their efforts in learning Islamic knowledge. “The learning of Yassarnal Qur’an and Holy Qur’an should be a priority,” he added.

He pointed out that, the lack of and or failure to learn Islamic knowledge results in difficulties in chanting Nazims and Ahmadiyya Songs during functions. Maulvi Arkoh encouraged balancing the acquisition of secular education with Islamic knowledge.
