On Sunday, 30th April 2023, Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya Western Region under the auspices of Shooba Sihat-e-Jismane organized a post-Eid-ul-Fitr soccer tournament at the Essikado Astroturf.
The game featured the Sekondi, Takoradi, and Tarkwa Zones, with an invitation extended to the Western Region Youth Club, making it a four-team tournament.
The tournament, which was full of enthusiasm and excitement, saw all four teams displaying their best skills and sportsmanship.
The tournament was well attended by members of the various Majalis. The atmosphere was electrifying, with cheering and chanting of At-Takbir! Allahu Akbar! throughout the game.
The event was not just about sports, but also about building friendships and fostering harmony between the Majlis and other youth organizations in the regions whiles spreading the true message of Islam Ahmadiyya; Love for all, Hatred for None.
At the end of the tournament, Sekondi Zone emerged as the winner while the Western Region Youth Club came in second place. Takoradi Zone and Tarkwa Zone secured the third and fourth positions respectively.
Speaking after the tournament, the Naib Sadr MKA Ghana, South West, Mr. Benyameen E. Keelson expressed his appreciation to the Khuddam for organizing such an exciting event and commended them for their impressive attendance.
Mr. Keelson said, "We are pleased with the turnout and the level of competition we saw today. Just as we saw this encouraging participation in this tournament, the same should be replicated during other Majlis activities.”
He concluded by encouraging members to continue to devote themselves to Ahmadiyya and also be ambassadors of Islam by showing love and harmony to one’s neighbors as exhibited in the tournament.
The Qaid Ilaqa Western Region, Mr. Mustapha Abban, who doubled as the referee for the event, commended the participants for their excellent performance and sportsmanship.
The event was honored with the presence of the following dignitaries – Mr. Bashirudin Adam (Muhtamim Sihat-e-Jismane MKA Ghana), Mr. Jibreel Baidoo (Fmr. Muhtamim Tarbiyyat Nou-Mubayyin MKA Ghana), Mr. Ismaila K. Issah (Fmr. Naib Ilaqa), as well Regional and Zonal Aamila members.
