Story by Saeed Bin Usman (Muhtamim Atfal) & Sadeeq A. Yussuff, Nazim Isha'at, Western Region

On Friday, August 24, 2023, Mr. Saeed Bin Usman, Muhtamim Atfal, and Sadeeq Ahmed Yussuff, Nazim Isha'at, Western Region, embarked on a journey to Cote d'Ivoire to represent Ghana at the 19th Annual National Ijtema’a (Rally) of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Cote D'Ivoire. The event was held in Mahdi Abad-Yopougon from August 24 to 27, 2023.

During the final session of the Ijtema'a, Mr. Saeed Bin Usman conveyed a goodwill message on behalf of Sadr Mulk, MKA Ghana. He congratulated Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Cote d'Ivoire for a successful Ijtema'a and prayed for Allah's blessings to guide them on the righteous path and uphold the institution of Khilafat.

Mr. Usman expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended to them by the Ahmadiyya community in Cote d'Ivoire, highlighting the strong bond that signifies the essence of the institution of Khilafat, uniquely found within Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya.

Throughout the Ijtema'a, the Ghanaian delegates actively participated in various activities, including observing sports events, engaging in Tahajjud prayers, meeting with the Ameer and Missionary-in-charge of Ahmadiyya Jamaat Cote d'Ivoire, Maulvi Abdul Quyyom Pasha, and granting an interview with the Audio-Visual team.

The Ghana delegates also had the honor of presenting certificates to recipients during the concluding session of the rally.

Additionally, the Ghanaian representatives, along with three counterparts from Burkina Faso led by Muhtamim Waqar-e-Amal, Mr. Souleman Alhassan, had the privilege of visiting an ongoing Humanity First Project — a 30-bed capacity Ultra Modern Hospital under construction in Mahdi Abad, Yopougon, Cote D'Ivoire.

The project's Chief Engineer, Waqas Sahib, remarked that upon completion, it would become the largest Humanity First Hospital Project in Africa.

Under the theme "Islam and Safeguarding Freedom and Rights", the 19th Annual National Ijtema’a saw the participation of over 600 individuals from 19 regions across Cote d'Ivoire.

Participants were enlightened through speeches on Islam's role in advocating freedom, rights, and humanity's responsibilities towards all beings, regardless of gender, race, or religion.

The presence of MKA Ghana at the event further reinforced the bond between the two neighboring countries, fostering cooperation and unity within the Ahmadiyya community in West Africa.
