On Friday, 29th September 2023, the campus of T.I. Ahmadiyya Girls Senior High School in Asokore played host to the 9th Annual National Ijtema’a of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ghana.

The Sadr, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ghana, Mr. Hanif Bipuah, in the company of his entourage, formally inaugurated the Ijtema'a with an inspection of the Guard of Honour.

This was followed by a beautiful recitation from the Holy Quran by Master Abdul Salaam DeGraft Dantse, a tifl from the Western Region with the English translation by Master Hakeem Seidu Agyemang, from the Volta Region. Next, an Arabic poem was presented by Master Ameenullah Boateng, Majlis Atfal-ul Ahmadiyya, Ashanti Region.

The recitation of the Atfal Pledge was led by Master Shareef Baffour Ahmad, from the Ashanti Ilaqa after which Maulvi Hafiz Naseem Nyame, the Kumasi North Zonal Missionary and Muhtamim Tarbiyyat (Northern & Middle Sectors) led the opening prayer.

Sadr delivered a brief yet impactful address to the Atfal where he stressed the importance of the five daily prayers. “You should not leave the Ijtema’a without cultivating the need to say salat five times daily. Take this practice with you wherever you go.” he stated.

Naib Ameer I, Alhaj Abdul Wahab Issah, graced the event with his presence. He praised the organizers and attendees for their dedication and highlighted the significance of honesty, service, and the rejection of corruption.

Alhaj Wahab Issah urged every young participant to pledge, "I will never tell lies, I will never abuse anybody, I will always be ready to serve Islam, Ahmadiyyat, my faith, and my country." His words served as a beacon of guidance for the future leaders in attendance.

Atfal from the Western Region serenaded the participants with songs of praise after the speech.

The 2022/2023 Annual Atfal Report was delivered by Mr. Hamza Obeng, Naib Muhtamim Atfal where he highlighted some achievements of the Majlis.

The Atfal from the Upper West Region performed an interesting and educative drama to the excitement of all.

There were academic and sports competitions for both age groups, Kabir and Saghir. They actively participated in academic competitions such as Holy Quran Recitation, Holy Quran Memorization, Al-Qaseedah, 'To the Nation’s Youth', Salat Performance, Azan Calling, Written Quiz, and Speech Delivery as well as sporting activities like Sack Race, Table Tennis, Lime and Spoon, Football, and athletics.

The 9th Annual National Ijtema'a of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya Ghana was chaired by Mr. Hanif Bipuah and co-chaired by Master Abdul Jabbar Ahmad Ampah from the Central Region.

The event enjoyed the esteemed presence of Sadran, representatives, and delegates from neighbouring West African countries, including Togo, Benin, Nigeria, and Cote d’Ivoire.
