The Central-West Regional Qaid, Honourable Jamil Rahman Nyame has urged members of the Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya, Ghana in the Ekumfi Zone to resist being misled by political parties into causing disorder during the 2024 general elections.

Honourable Jamil made this appeal during the 2nd Annual Zonal Rally held on Sunday, 02 June 2024, at Ekumfi Otuam. The rally themed, “Creating a Peaceful Society; the Role of the Youth,” aimed to sensitize the youths, especially Ahmadis on the importance of maintaining peace and order before, during and after the elections.

“When it comes to partisan politics and its related matters, we all play a role in one way or the other. We should not be carried away by our emotions since it can lead one to jail,” he said in Fante.

He further encouraged members to live by the tenets of Islam Ahmadiyyat and reject any attempts by political parties to use them for violent purposes. “I plead with you not to allow any political party to hide behind you to cause disruptions,” he emphasized.

Honourable Jamil R. Nyame, who was the Chairman for the occasion urged the over 200 participants to be the agents of peace the nation needs especially as the December 2024 general elections draw nigh.
