The Atfal from the Kumasi South Zone of the Ashanti Region have planted a pawpaw tree in the compound of the Asafo Central Mosque in Kumasi in honour of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (May Allah be his Helper), Khalifatul Masih V, as a sign of their love for him.
The symbolic exercise took place on the first quarter of the Majlis year after the Atfal had finished with their weekly Islamic classes in the mosque.
The gesture, according to the Atfal, was to show their extreme love for the Khalifa. Having watered the plant, a prayer was said together to bless the project.
In all, 13 Atfal participated in the exercise.
