On 31st March 2025, Qaid Ilaqa - Central East, Mr. Wahab Adams and his family visited the Abonyi Jam’at to celebrate Eid with the newly formed Jam’at of converts.
As Eid-ul Fitr is an annual occasion celebrated in Islam to earmark the end of a month fasting in the Islamic Calendar, to the people of Gomoa Abonyi this day was very special as it was the foremost celebration as a new convert to Islam Ahmadiyyat and also the first time of embarking on such a spiritual journey as Muslims.
Moreover, the presence of Qaid Ilaqa brought a renewed faith and commitment to the members, especially to the Atfal present to celebrate this special occasion. The love and dedication to perform their duties as Atfal reflected on their readiness to live up to the pledge of the Majlis that they will sacrifice their time, wealth, and honour for their faith and abide by any Maruf decision of Khalifat-ul Masih at all times, In Shaa Allah.
Mr Wahab Adams used the opportunity to thank members for their dedication and admonished them to be good ambassadors in the community and also spread the good teachings of Islam Ahmadiyya to their neighbours. He added that they should strive as much as possible to emulate the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (May Allah’s peace be upon him) in order to distinguish themselves in the community, so that others may be drawn to Islam Ahmadiyyat upon assessing their lives after conversion.
Muallim Ismail Adu (Abonyi Missionary) thanked Qaid Ilaqa and his family for visiting the Jam’at and promised to train the Atfal so that they can participate in the upcoming Atfal Competition for the final selection of competitors for the National Ijtema 2025 at Nusrat Jahan College of Education – Wa.
